Edwardian Platinum 3-Stone Diamond Filigree Ring 1.75ctw
A gorgeous diamond 3-stone ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This stunning platinum piece features three sparkling old European Cut diamonds that rest horizontally across the center of the band. Each diamond is individually micro prong set to form a gorgeous oval-shaped design across the front surface. The center stone weighs approximately 0.65ct and the side stones each have an approximate weight of 0.55ct, for an overall approximate diamond carat weight of 1.75ctw combined. The gorgeous stones exhibit G/H range color and VS1/VS2 range clarity, each one catching the light brilliantly with every turn. A fine filigree wirework design with shapely cutouts embellishes the sides of the entire mounting and extends onto the shoulders, adding a beautiful visual detail to the piece. Finishing the ring is a smoothly polished band that wraps around the back. A marvelous Edwardian piece, it would make a stunning and unique diamond engagement ring or could mark a special occasion!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of scant 6, but could easily be re-sized. The oval shaped centerpiece measures approximately 5/8" wide, about 1/4" tall, and rests about 1/8" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum filigree setting, or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
