Edwardian Platinum Diamond Lorgnette Chain Necklace 24.75"
A stunning diamond lorgnette chain from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This elegant platinum piece is comprised of sparkling diamonds bezel set within an eyeglass setting that alternate with sections of elongated wirework link chain. The chain comes together at a large triangular shaped link, which holds an old European Cut diamond at the center and is surrounded by gorgeous filigree wirework detail. A chain extension hangs from the link and a spring ring clasp at the base is perfect for hanging a complimentary pendant or locket. Additionally, three larger, kite-shaped links adorn the chain, each holding a sparkling accent diamond within their fine filigree setting, and connecting to the center link. Collectively, the overall diamond weight of the piece is 1.50ctw and the necklace fastens at the back with a simple 14kt white gold spring ring clasp. This stunning lorgnette chain is perfect for pairing with a complimentary locket or pendant and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 24.75" in total length and the center extension measures 2 1/8" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set and the clasps are secure and in good working order.
