Edwardian Platinum Diamond + Sapphire Cabochon Stud Earrings
A fabulous pair of diamond and sapphire earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum, each of these stud-style earrings displays 14 old Rose Cut diamonds encircling a natural sapphire cabochon. The vibrant sapphires collectively weigh approximately 1.24ctw between both ears, their rich blue color contrasting beautifully against the white platinum and glittering diamonds. The earrings secure to the ear with a simple 18kt yellow gold post and a sterling tension backing. These stud earrings have a timeless appeal, and would merge seamlessly with the modern woman's collection!
Measurements: The earrings measure approximately 10.5mm in diameter and slightly more than 1/8" deep, excluding the earring post.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds and both sapphires are intact and securely set. The yellow gold posts and tension backings are both secure and in good working condition.
