Edwardian Platinum Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring 1.90ct
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a single old Mine Cut diamond at the center of a classic yet ornate setting. The prong set stone weighs approximately 1.90ctw and exhibits M color and VS2 clarity, brilliantly sparkling in the light with every turn. A feminine wirework design embellishes the head of the mounting, with delicate cutouts visible from every angle. Finishing the design is a gorgeous scrolled motif that travels gracefully along the sides of the knife edge style band, trailing into a smoothly polished finish at the back. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in December 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $10,000.00. A classically beautiful design, it would make a perfect and unique engagement ring for someone special!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 7, but could be resized. The diamond rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the diamond, which is intact and securely set.
