Edwardian Platinum Diamond Trilogy Ring 1.38ctw
A beautiful 3-stone diamond ring from the Edwardian era (ca1910)! This stunning piece is known as a "trilogy ring," with each of its three diamonds representing the couple's "Past, Present, and Future" together. Three sparkling Old European diamonds are prong set horizontally across the front of the smooth platinum mounting. The largest center diamond weighs approximately .85ct and has H color and VS2 clarity. The two stones framing the middle diamond have H-I range color, VS range clarity, and an approximate carat weight of .53ct. All three stones rest in crown-style settings with an airline cutout visible from the side. The platinum band tapers in slightly as it nears the back, and "PLAT" is stamped inside the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified gemologist in August 2015 and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,800.00. This lovely diamond ring would look beautiful worn everyday, or could make a very special and sentimental engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.25 but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all three of which are intact.
