Edwardian Platinum Moonstone & Diamond Ring
A fabulous platinum and moonstone ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum, this lovely piece has an alluring moonstone cabochon which rests in the center of a beautiful flower-like setting. The moonstone, which weighs approximately 3ctw, is very clear and has a gorgeous pale color and vibrant flashes of blue. Surrounding the bezel set moonstone is a squared scalloped frame border which is encrusted with old Rose Cut diamonds. The glittering diamonds make a perfect contrast with the moonstone center. On the underside of the closed back moonstone is a makers mark as well as "PLAT". Delicate milgrained detail surrounding the stones adds a lovely finishing touch to the feminine design of the ring. It's an absolutely incredible ring that looks stunning when worn, and it would make a very special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.5 but could be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum or to the moonstone or diamonds, all of which are intact.
