Edwardian Sterling/12kt Horseshoe + Horse Bit Bangle Bracelet
A stunning equestrian themed bracelet from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in sterling silver with 12kt rose gold accents, this slip-on style bangle forms the shape of a large horseshoe that curves comfortably around the wrist. Seven raised rose gold "nail" studs rest atop one side of the smoothly polished surface, providing wonderful two-tone dimension to the design. The surface width graduates slightly towards the opening where two horse bit links interlock. The horse bit also acts as the push clasp closure that fastens the bracelet together, and a safety chain and a spring ring clasp adds extra security. Stamped on one of the horse bit links is a hallmark; please refer to images. Whether worn alone or stacked with other bracelets, this stylish piece blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would be perfect for any equestrian enthusiast!
Measurements: The opening (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/2" wide, and 1 3/4" tall. The opening found at the end of the horseshoe, where your wrist would physically slide through, measures approximately 1 1/4" wide. The graduated surface measures a little more than 1/8" wide and thick at the side, and is a 1/8" wide and thick near the opening.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling and gold setting. The push clasp, safety chain, and spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition.
