Late Victorian 9kt Gold Shell Fox Head + Garnet Stud Earrings
A lovely pair of late Victorian (ca1900s) fox stud earrings! Each 3-dimensional 9kt gold piece forms the shape of a charming fox head with ornate details, including a long snout, two pointed ears, and soft fur. Two deep hued garnet stones represent their eyes, adding a wonderful pop of color to the design and resting at the back is a simple earring post and back, securing the earrings comfortably to the middle of the ear. A unique and beautiful design, these studs are perfect for everyday wear and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring measures approximately 3/8" wide and tall, and is a little more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is great. Besides normal surface wear at the ear tips and snout, there is no serious damage to the gold. The garnets are intact and securely set and the post and earring backs are secure and in good working order.
