A striking and stylish Estate tourmaline ring! This fantastic and relatively large piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and features four green tourmaline cabochons set in a unique formation at the center of a simple band. The gorgeous stones are held in place by elongated gold prongs that contrast beautifully against the rich green hues. The centerpiece is raised and slightly asymmetrical, creating a unique and dramatic appeal and the stones come alive as light passes through their open back setting. Finishing the design is a textured loop motif at either shoulder, which trails into a stacked wirework band that wraps around the back. The combination of the varying shades of green from the natural tourmalines looks stunning in contrast to the yellow gold setting. The piece makes a bold and fashionable statement and would look wonderful worn as a cocktail ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5, but could be re-sized. The centerpiece measures about 1" wide, 7/8" tall, and rests 1/2" above the finger when worn. The band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. All of the tourmaline stones are intact and securely set. There are some naturally occurring inclusions in the stones, which is common given the nature of tourmalines.
