FORSTNER Late Art Deco 12kt Gold Filled Snake Wrap Bracelet
A very stylish Forstner snake bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Crafted in 12kt yellow gold fill, this wonderful piece has a 3-dimensional design represented by a serpent's body, whose tail and body coils around the wrist. A tightly coiled snake chain gives wonderful texture to the design and the head of the snake is enhanced with fabulous lines and engraved detail showcasing the eyes and mouth. On the underside of the snake's head, more intricate engraving is found, giving a scaled appearance, and stamped nearby is the "FORSTNER" hallmark along with "1/20 12KT.G.F". The bracelet has a flexible design that expands slightly when wrapped around the wrist, adjusting to the size of your wrist accordingly and eliminating the need for a clasp. One of Forstner's signature designs, this bracelet would be perfect for any snake lover and would make a striking everyday piece for the fashion conscious woman!
Measurement: The opening of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) is slightly adjustable, with the smallest size measuring 2" in diameter. When stretched, the bracelet expands to approximately 2 1/2" in diameter. The widest point of the bracelet measures 1/2" wide at the snake head and 1/4" in the body.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the bracelet and the flexible design is very tight and secure and still retains its shape.
