FOSTER & BAILEY Victorian Gold-Filled + Faux Sapphire Etched Bracelet
A beautiful bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era by American makers Foster & Bailey! This fabulous gold-filled piece is decorated with an etched floral motif that carries across the front surface. Nestled among the etched design is a row of five faux sapphires, which mimic the wonderful vivid blue hue of real sapphire gemstones. The bezel-set stones are faceted for a light-catching effect, and look fantastic paired with the luscious gold-filled setting. The hinged design opens with a small button at the side, and fastens with a hidden push clasp. Stamped inside the bangle is Foster and Bailey's hallmark, which reads: "F&B PAT." Whether worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bangles, this bracelet would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 5/8" wide and about 2 1/8" tall, and would fit nicely on a medium to large sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures about 3/8" wide and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage the the gold-filled setting. All of the faux sapphires are intact and securely set. The push clasp is secure and in good working order.
