Renowned Danish silversmith Georg Jensen was born in 1866. His training in metalsmithing and his education in the Fine Arts enabled him to develop a successful career based in beautiful jewelry and silver design. His signature Art Nouveau style grew increasingly popular and Jensen became a world renowned artist. Although Jensen died in 1935, his pieces are still being created today using the same craftsmanship as when he was alive.

A fabulous ring from the early Retro (ca1930-40) era by Danish artist Georg Jensen! This striking piece is crafted in sterling silver. A wide, smooth band graduates slightly towards the back, and stamped on the inside of the shank are various hallmarks, including the signature "GEORG JENSEN" and "GJ" hallmarks dating the piece to between 1930-1940. Additional hallmarks include "925," "STERLING," "DENMARK, and the number "60,". A bold yet delicate piece, this stylish ring would make a great addition to any Jensen collection!

Measurements: The ring is a size 9.5 but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece measures approximately 5/8" tall and about 1/2" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 2mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver.
