Georgian 12kt Textured Link Chain Necklace with Diamond Hand Clasp 51.75"
An absolutely exquisite and rare textured link chain from the Georgian (ca1750) era! This beautiful handmade piece is crafted in 12kt yellow gold and is comprised of interlocking round links, which together form a gorgeous twisted rope design. Each individual link is graced with fine bead detail along the surface, providing a fabulous textured appearance and eye-catching design. The chain is particularly long and fastens at an ornate clasp which depicts the shape of an extended hand and wrist. The hand is adorned with a sparkling accent diamond "ring" on the ring finger, and dons a decorative "bracelet" embellished with an additional accent diamond at the center. The hand displays a brushed texture on the surface, while the ornate sleeve is intricately etched with a checkerboard pattern and finished with a scalloped edge. The push clasp is seamlessly hidden within the end of the cuff, and a safety chain adds extra security. Thanks to its generous length, the necklace can easily slip on and off overhead, and doubles nicely for a stylish layered look. An impeccably made piece that blends seamlessly into modern day fashion, it would make a stunning addition to any collection!
