JOHAN PETTERSSON Swedish Art Deco 18kt White Sapphire 3-Stone Ring
A gorgeous and unusual white sapphire ring from the late Art Deco (ca1933) era by Swedish jewelry designer Johan Pettersson! Crafted in 18kt white and yellow gold, this stunning ring features beautiful sapphires set across the front, creating a gorgeous mixed metals appeal. A trio of French Cut white sapphires rests at the center of the band, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The stones are prong set and decorating each shoulder is a carved chevron motif, perfectly reflecting the wonderful Art Deco aesthetic. Finishing the design is a smoothly polished yellow gold band that graduates slightly towards the back, and several markings are stamped inside the shank, including the signature "J.P." maker's mark, an "18K" gold purity mark, the Swedish triple crown mark, the Stockholm city symbol, and the date letters "G8," indicating the piece was made in 1933. A timeless and truly beautiful design, this ring could make an incredible diamond-alternative engagement or anniversary piece, or could be worn for special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could be easily resized. The centerpiece rests approximately 1/8" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The white sapphire stones are intact and securely set.
