Late Art Deco 14kt Aquamarine + Filigree Ring
A stunning aquamarine ring from the late Art Deco era (ca1930s)! This beautiful piece is crafted in 14kt white gold and adorns an incredible aquamarine stone at the center of a feminine filigree mounting. The elongated rectangular-shaped aquamarine rests in an open backed claw setting, allowing the elegant facets to catch the light beautifully with every turn. The stone exhibits a gorgeous soft sky blue color and is surrounded by a border of flowing filigree wirework finished with delicate cutouts. The gorgeous design trails onto the shoulders where a classic Art Deco motif is embellished with additional milgrain work. Finishing the design is a smoothly polished band that graduates slightly towards the back where a "14K" gold purity mark is stamped inside of the shank. Perfect for any aquamarine lover, this beautiful Art Deco ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6, but could be re-sized if desired. The aquamarine centerpiece measures 3/4" tall and slightly less than 3/8" wide, and rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting, and the aquamarine stone is intact and securely set. The stone displays some very minor surface wear at the corners, however, it is only noticeable under close examination using a professional jeweler's loupe.
