Late Art Deco Large Silver Amazonite + Multi-Color Enamel Link Bracelet
An absolutely stunning and unusual amazonite link bracelet from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in silver, this magnificent piece features five large oval-shaped links adorned with a beautiful amazonite stone at the center of a colorful design. The hexagonal shaped stones are bezel set, exhibiting lovely sea green hues with a subtle shimmery quality. A delicate twisted rope border surrounds each bezel, and the stones rest on a colorful enameled design featuring a turquoise blue and pearlescent salmon orange border, encircled by a rich green outer frame. The design is outlined in gilded silver accents, and each link features a beaded silver border, providing wonderful texture with a lovely two-tone appeal. Two connector rings attach each link together, forming a straight but flexible design that wraps comfortable around the wrist, and a hidden push clasp is seamlessly incorporated into the last link, with a safety chain providing extra security. Finishing the piece is a gorgeous carved design on the back of each link, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. The tongue of the clasp has two small hallmarks which could be Austro-Hungarian, however, we are unable to identify them. This elaborate and unusual piece makes a stunning statement when worn, and the bracelet would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 6 3/4" long, and would fit a medium to average sized wrist. Each link measures 1 1/4" wide, 1" tall, and is 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or gilded silver accents. The amazonite stones are all intact and securely set. The push clasp and chain are secure and in good working condition. The green enameling shows a few very minor chips or scratches, however they are not noticeable when worn due to their size.
