Late Art Deco Platinum Aquamarine Filigree Ring 2.00ct
A stunning aquamarine ring from the late Art Deco era (ca1930)! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a gorgeous aquamarine at the center of a feminine filigree setting. The rectangular-shaped stone weighs approximately 2.00ct and rests in an open backed bezel setting, exhibiting vibrant blue color that catches the light perfectly. The stone appears to "float" within a lovely open border that is embellished with two accent diamonds on either side. The surrounding frame displays a floral and garland-like design and completing the look are delicate cutouts along the base of the mounting, and fine milgrained work throughout. A smoothly polished shank rests at the back, and stamped inside is a "PT950" platinum purity mark. Perfect for any aquamarine lover, this stunning Art Deco ring would make a special addition to any collection or could make a wonderful alternative engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 5.75, but could be resized. The aquamarine centerpiece measures approximately 5/8" tall, a little less than 1/2" wide, and rests about 1/8" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures approximately 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or filigree details. The aquamarine and diamonds are intact and securely set.
