Late Art Deco Platinum Diamond + Ruby Horse Charm
A wonderful horse charm from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This lovely piece is crafted in platinum and depicts a gorgeous profile of a horse's head that is encrusted with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds. The stones are pavé set and adorn the entire surface, including the beautiful, wavy mane and a gorgeous ruby cabochon dots the eye, adding a lovely pop of color. Fine milgrained detail decorates the front of the piece and a simple round bail rests at the top. This piece would look lovely hanging from a special charm bracelet or necklace, and would make the perfect addition to any equestrian enthusiast's collection!
Measurements: The charm measures a little more than 1/2" long (including the bail at the top), measures a little less than 1/2" wide, and is 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The ruby and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set and the bail is secure and in good working order.
