Late Art Deco Platinum Old European Cut Diamond Stud Earrings 2.26ctw
A stunning pair of diamond stud earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Crafted in platinum, each gorgeous stud adorns a single old European Cut diamond set in a milgrained bezel setting. Each stone rests within a martini-style setting, which has a rounded v-shaped back, allowing the diamond to closely hug the ear. Together, the diamonds have an overall weight of 2.26ctw combined, and exhibit VS range clarity and H-I range color. The facets catch the light brilliantly with every turn, creating a radiate sparkling array when worn. The back of each stud reveals a simple post and earring back stamped with a "950 S" platinum purity mark. The earrings were appraised in November 2019 by an independent GIA-certified Gemologist and have a stated retail replacement value of $13,500.00. The pair are absolutely stunning when worn and would make a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: Each earring measures approximately 7.25mm in diameter and have a depth of about 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or posts and both diamond stones are intact and securely set.
