A stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This gorgeous piece is made of platinum and features a lovely round cut sapphire prong set in the center. The sapphire stone has a beautiful deep blue color and weighs approximately 1.69ct. Beaming from the center stone is an ornate engraved design which is accented by bead set diamonds, which are set on both shoulders of the mounting in a triangular shape. There are 12 diamonds in total, weighing approximately .19ctw with H-I range color and SI-I range clarity. The band of the ring tapers in slightly towards the back and is stamped "IRID PLAT" inside. The ring was appraised in January 2014 by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $5,300. It's a beautiful piece and would make a wonderful everyday ring or a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a large 6.5 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and the sapphire stone and all of the diamonds are intact.
