Late Art Deco Platinum Star Ruby Diamond Ring 4.20ct
A stunning star ruby and diamond ring from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This lovely piece is crafted in platinum and features a fantastic cabochon star ruby at its center, surrounded by a wonderful array of sparkling diamonds. The prong-set center stone is oval in shape, weighing approximately 4.20ct and displays a vivid raspberry red color with a faint off-center star. Framing the ruby are ten Baguette Cut diamonds which form a modified "step-up" design at the shoulders and top and bottom, connected by sparkling old Single Cut diamonds in between. Collectively the overall diamond weight of the ring is 1.00ctw and together, the sparkling stones create a stunning frame that showcases the vibrant ruby perfectly! The polished platinum band tapers slightly towards the back and is stamped "PLAT." along the shank. A stunning gemstone ring, it would make a wonderful piece for everyday wear and special occasions, or a gorgeous gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 8.75 but could easily be re-sized. The ruby measures 3/8" long and a little under 3/8" wide and when worn, the ring rests approximately 1/4" above the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the platinum setting and the ruby and diamond stones are all intact and securely set.
