Late Art Deco Sterling Hand Carved Blue Glass Earrings
A beautiful and unusual pair of earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Each of these gorgeous earrings feature a wonderful hand-carved cerulean blue glass link hanging from an elegant surmount. The colorful dangling links each portray a 3-dimensional shape, similar to an urn or vase, with a smoothly polished round base. Resting atop the rounded bottom is a basketweave pattern under an ornate floral-like motif featuring delicate cutouts throughout. The cerulean color is very unique, with each link beautifully reflecting the light with every turn and highlighting the hue perfectly. Each link dangles from a smoothly polished silver topper, adorned with a fine etched design at the center of the orb. Resting at the top is a simple wire, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. A lovely pair of Art Deco era earrings, they would be perfect worn every day or for special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 7/8" in total length. Each glass link measures about 3/4" wide and is about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or serious damage to the glass links. The earring wires are secure and in good working order.
