Vintage Chinese Silver & Moonstone Dragon Bracelet
An exquisite vintage bracelet from the 1930s! The bracelet is crafted in silver and has an ornate dragon design that reflects its Chinese origin. The head and tail of the exotic dragon decorates the front of the piece, with clawed hands that grasp four moonstone cabochons. The dragon's tail wraps around the wrist in a serpent-like fashion, complete with engraved detail representing scales. The detailed artistry includes a textured body and bearded face, with curls of smoke protruding from the dragon's nose, and gold dots for eyes. The large moonstones add an alluring and mysterious quality to the design, displaying a milky blue color and iridescent flash. Despite its substantial size and appearance, the bracelet is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. It is hinged at the side and opens with a screw pin clasp. The interior of the bracelet is stamped "96%" beside the words "Art Expo." A magnificent vintage statement piece, it would make an unusual addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 2" high. The surface width of the bracelet graduates in size from 1 1/2" at the widest point (where the dragon face is) and a little more than 1/4" at the narrowest point (on the underside of the bracelet). The bracelet has a depth of 1/2" where the moonstones rest.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver setting, and all of the moonstones are intact and free of chips or scratches. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
