Late Art Deco Sterling Moonstone + Marcasite Link Bracelet
A lovely moonstone bracelet from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this beautiful piece features a stunning array of smoothly polished moonstone cabochon links set along the entire length of the bracelet. All of the stones have a beautiful and alluring appearance, each displaying a pale translucent blue color with an iridescent flash that is accentuated within their open back bezel setting. A double row of cabochon links line the sides of the bracelet, while the larger, center link forms the shape of a slightly convex, graduating cluster. Resting in between the moonstones and surrounding the design are shimmering marcasites stones, adding more eye-catching appeal to the piece. The combination of the moonstones and marcasites is simply stunning and fine milgrain detail throughout adds a wonderful feminine touch. The bracelet is hinged in several places, forming a straight but flexible design that fastens with a simple push clasp and safety chain at the end. A "925" sterling silver purity mark is stamped on the back of a marcasite setting along with a small makers mark. A lovely everyday piece, it would look wonderful worn with other complimentary bracelets, and is perfect for any moonstone lover!
Measurement: The bracelet measures approximately 6 5/8" long and would fit nicely on a small to average sized wrist. The majority of the moonstones measure about 5.5mm in diameter and the smaller moonstones measure 4.5mm in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to any of the moonstones. All of the stones are intact, securely set, and free of surface chips or scratches. The push claps and safety chain are secure and in good working order.
