Late Victorian 14kt Gold Amethyst & Seed Pearl Ring
A gorgeous amethyst ring from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! At the center of this fabulous piece is a beautiful, square-shaped amethyst stone with rounded corners. The stone, which is particularly large in size, is bezel set in a 14kt yellow gold mounting and surrounded by twisted gold wire detailing and a row of seed pearls. There are 4 small gold leaves in each corner and the shoulders of the band are decorated with intricate etched details. The amethyst stone has a vivid purple hue that looks beautiful against the vibrant yellow gold. The inside of the ring is stamped with the number "14". This fabulous ring would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The amethyst stone and seed pearl frame measures approximately 3/4" wide and tall tall. The ring has a finger size of 7 but could be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting, amethyst stone or to the seed pearls.
