Late Victorian 14kt Gold + Garnet Cabochon Cufflinks
A fabulous pair of garnet cufflinks from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each of these cufflinks has an oval face adorned with a stunning garnet cabochon set in the center. The deep red cabochon stones are smoothly polished and bezel set in a closed back setting, subtly allowing the light to reflect their incredible rich hues with every turn. The reverse side reveals a connector link that is attached to a smoothly polished gold disk, and stamped on the back of each cufflink and on the link is a "14K" gold purity mark besides a maker's mark. A classic and attractive pair of cufflinks, they would look fantastic worn by either a woman or a man!
Measurements: Each cufflink face measures approximately 3/8" wide, slightly more than 5/8" tall, and is about 1/4" thick. The space in between the cabochon link and the disk at the back measures approximately 3/4" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the garnet stones are intact and securely set.
