Late Victorian 14kt Tassel + Seed Pearl Earrings
A beautiful pair of hanging tassel earrings from late Victorian (ca1900) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each of these gorgeous earrings adorns a lovely dangling tassel design below a smoothly polished cap. The tassels adorn multiple strands of a delicate interlocking chain links, each one ending in a lovely seed pearl at the tip. The delicate seed pearls exhibit a lovely milk white hue with a wonderful surface luster, creating a perfect contrast against the yellow gold. The domed surmounts features a delicate bead at the top, and hang from modern hinged lever back wires (stamped "585" beside a maker's mark), allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement. A fantastic pair of Victorian earrings, they frame the face beautifully and would make a stylish addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/8" long (including the wires at the top), and measure about 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the hanging tassels. The seed pearl beads are intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
