Late Victorian 18k Cat's Eye Sapphire Cabochon Link Bracelet
A gorgeous and unique cat's eye sapphire bracelet from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in 18kt yellow gold and features 14 smoothly polished cat's eye sapphire cabochon links that form a straight but flexible design that wraps comfortably around the wrist. The bezel set stones display a wonderful soft periwinkle blue color and unique iridescent property. When turned in the light, the stone emits a shimmery flash at the center, which is visible as a vertical band, forming a stunning "cat's eye." All of the sapphires are held within an open back setting that allow the light to pass through, accentuating their natural beauty. Resting in between each stone are a pair of interlocking chain links, which connect each link together and provide flexibility to the design. The bracelet fastens at a push clasp seamlessly hidden within the last link, and features a safety chain for added security. Stamped on the underside of the clasp is an "18K" gold purity mark atop a maker's mark. A versatile everyday piece, it would look wonderful worn alone or with other complimentary bracelets, and is perfect for any cat's eye lover!
Measurement: The bracelet measures approximately 6 1/2" long and would fit nicely on a small to medium sized wrist. Each sapphire links measures approximately 8mm in diameter and is about 4mm thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the sapphires are intact and securely set. The push clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
