Late Victorian Sterling/18kt + Diamond "DIEU VOUS GARDE" Lettered Link Bracelet
A stunning and unique diamond link bracelet from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! This fabulous piece is crafted in 18kt rose gold and sterling silver, and displays a bold yet elegant design. The bracelet features 13 sterling letters which spell out the French phrase, "DIEU . VOUS . GARDE" (which translates to "May God Watch Over You") in wonderful block letters. Each letter is lined with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds, with facets that catch the light brilliantly with every turn. Two additional diamonds frame either side of the central word, and the entire phrase rests atop a double curb link chain, connecting at the top and bottom edges, creating a seamless appeal. Finishing the design is a smoothly polished box push clasp on the end, which fastens the piece together. It is an unusual and fantastic bracelet that would look incredible worn alone or layered with other bracelets. A perfect statement piece, this gorgeous bracelet would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7.75" long, slightly more than 1/4" wide and about 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling and rose gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.
