LEDESMA Vintage Mexican Sterling & Onyx Earrings
Collectible and unusual, these sterling silver and onyx earrings are signed by Mexican artist Enrique Ledesma. From the 1960s, these Vintage earrings have a striking Modernist design comprised. Each earring bears a split arrow shape, the top of which is sterling silver, and the bottom comprised of inlaid black onyx. The contrast between the bright silver and bold, black onyx makes a wonderful statement! At the top of each arrow is a simple earring wire attached to a silver ball surmount. The back of the earrings are stamped with several markings: "LEDESMA", "TAXCO", "925", "HECHO EN MEXICO" along with a few small hallmark symbols. A very wearable pair of everyday earrings, they would compliment any ensemble!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 3/8" long, measure 5/8" wide, and 3/16" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or onyx stones. The earring wires are secure and intact.
