A fabulous two-tone necklace from the Retro (ca1940) era by M.C. MOSSALONE! Crafted in 14kt yellow and rose gold, this bold piece has an eye-catching and geometric design which hangs from a gold snake chain. A row of barrel-shaped links hang vertically along the chain, with two additional links dangling below to form a fabulous fringe design. The highly polished links rest in a contrasting rose and yellow gold pattern, with facets that catch the light beautifully from every angle. The links are riveted at the top to a curved bar, allowing them to individually swing with lovely movement. Gold beads rest in between the top row, and a flexible snake chain is attached to either side of the fringe design, fastening at the back with a barrel clasp (stamped "14K"), along with a safety clasp for extra security. Stamped atop a delicate plaque on the back of a link is the signature "MC MOSSALONE" hallmark, along with a "14K" gold purity mark. Despite it's substantial look, the piece is hollow and lightweight, making it comfortable for everyday wear. It rests beautifully below the neckline, making a fantastic and bold statement piece that would be perfect worn day or night!
Measurements: The necklace measures 17.25" long. The centerpiece hangs 1 1/2” long, measures 2 1/4" wide, and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow and rose gold setting and the barrel clasp and safety latch are secure and in good working condition.
