MICHAEL GOOD Estate 18kt Double Loop Sculptural Earrings
Known as the pioneer of the "anticlastic raising" technique in metalwork, Michael Good is an accomplished sculptor and jewelry maker. He discovered how to take an open formed piece and make a tubular form, known as a "closed seam speculum" which is represented in his 'loop' jewelry collection. His work is collectible and represented in galleries, stores and private collections internationally with each piece being a true work of art.
A wonderful and artistic pair of Estate earrings by renowned designer Michael Good! Crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold, each earring resembles an abstract variation of a hoop earring. A gorgeous double loop design is formed at the center, creating a modern 3-dimensional look. The surface of the loop is thicker at the bottom and gradually becomes thinner towards the top. As part of the creative design, the end of each earring wire clasps by hooking into the back of the earring, where it is securely contained within the tubular end of the loop. Each earring is signed "M.Good," along with a small hallmark and ".750." The hollow nature of the earrings make them wonderfully lightweight and they dangle with lovely movement. They make a fabulous statement when worn and would be perfect for day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, measures 1 3/8" wide, and is about 1/2" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The wires are secure and in good working order.
