Retro 14k Diamond Woven Tassel Bracelet 47.6dwt
A very bold Retro bracelet from the 1940s! This striking, heavy piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a stylish "Victorian Revival" design. An intricate woven pattern forms the flexible band of the bracelet, meeting at a buckle-like centerpiece at the front. A fan-shaped adornment overlaps at the front, which has a complimentary woven design. Lining the half circle are 6 sparkling diamonds, weighing approximately .30 ctw combined. Threaded through an open loop in the center is a strand of 5 hanging tassels, each ending in a decorative gold cap. The hanging fringe swings slightly when worn, giving lovely movement to the piece. The interior of the bracelet is stamped "14K" atop an engine-turned surface. The push clasp is accompanied by a safety chain for extra security. A fabulous statement bracelet, it makes quite an eye-catching statement and would liven any ensemble!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 6 1/2" long and would fit nicely on a small to average sized wrist. The band is approximately 7/8" wide. The fan-shaped centerpiece measures 1 3/8" wide, and each strand of fringe measures 1 3/8" long. The overall pennyweight of the piece is 47.6 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or diamond accents, all of which are intact. The push clasp and safety chain fasten securely and are both in good working condition.
