Retro 14kt Graduating Opal + Diamond 5-Stone Ring
A fabulous opal and diamond ring from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold with white gold accents, this striking piece features five graduating opal cabochons that are set across the front in a raised prong design. Each alluring opal has a beautiful range of iridescent colors, including shades of blue, green, violet, orange, gold, and shimmery white. Nestled in between each opal are two delicate Single Cut diamonds, one set at the top and one at the bottom. With a total of 8, the diamonds are each set in white gold prongs and add a wonderful sparkle to the piece. Completing the design is a wide gold band which graduates towards the back. Inside the shank is the stamp "SWL" alongside a few hand engraved numbers. A wonderful opal piece, this ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could be resized if necessary. The opal centerpiece measures approximately 7/8" wide, a little more than 1/4" high and the ring rests 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the opals and diamonds are intact and securely set.
