Retro 14kt Opal Hinged Bangle Bracelet
A fabulous opal bracelet from the Retro (ca1940) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and features seven vibrant opals in a decorative setting across the front. The opal cabochons are similar in size, and exhibit stunning shades of green, blue, violet, pink, orange, and yellow, all of which flash beautifully when caught in the light. A scalloped bezel holds each stone in place, while lovely flared accents flank each stone. The back of the bangle graduates slightly, and adorns an ornate wirework design, which creates delicate cutouts and adds a soft eminine touch. The hinged bangle fastens at a push clasp (stamped with a 14K purity mark on the back) and safety latch, for extra security. Whether worn alone or paired with other bangles, this bracelet would look stunning worn day or night!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall, and the piece would fit nicely on a medium to average sized wrist. The front of the bangle measures a little more than 1/4" wide and thick. The overall pennyweight of the piece is 12.3dwt (19.2 grams).
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the opals are intact and securely set. The push clasp and safety latch are secure and in good working condition.
