Retro 14kt Shooting Arrow Screw Back Earrings
A fabulous and unique pair of piercing arrow earrings from the Retro (ca1940) era! Crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold, each stud-like earring depicts the shape of a shooting arrow. The surface is smoothly polished, with a pointed tip at one end, and realistic carved fletching at the other, adding wonderful texture to the design. A section of the arrow shaft is missing at the center, creating the appearance that it "pierces" the earlobe when worn, a fantastic optical allusion! A fixed wire at the back connects each arrow end together with a screw back pressure post that securely holds each stud to the ear. The earrings rest beautifully along the earlobe and are perfect for pierced or non-pierced ears. They blend seamlessly into modern day fashion and would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurement: Each earring measures approximately 1 1/4" long, slightly less than 1/4" wide, and are 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The screw back posts and wires are secure and in good working condition.
