A romantic and unusual pendant and earrings set from the Retro (ca1940s) era! This matching set has a bold yet simple design, comprised of carved plaques of banded agate. Each smoothly polished plaque is heart shaped, displaying fabulous shades of light and dark orange with white and brown-toned banding throughout and a rich, translucent quality that can be seen in the light. The pendant is relatively large in size, dangling from simple yellow gold-filled cap and bail riveted into the top, perfect for hanging from a favorite chain. Each earring dangles from a simple yellow gold-filled wire at the top, allowing them to frame the face beautifully. A wonderful and unusual design, this set is perfect worn together or separate, and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 7/8" long (including the bail at the top), measures about 1 3/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/4". Each earring dangles a little more than 3/4" long (including the wire at the top), measures about 1/2" wide, and is about 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the agate stones, except for one tiny chip near the earring wire hole on one of the earrings. Due to the size, location, and coloring, it is not noticeable when worn. The gold-filled setting and accents are intact and securely set and in good working condition.
