Retro Large 14kt Black Tourmalinated Quartz Link Bracelet
An incredible and unique tourmalinated quartz bracelet from the Retro (ca1940s) era! This bold piece features 6 natural stone links that rest in a 14kt yellow gold setting, each connected together to create a straight but flexible design. The prong-set cabochon stones are particularly large in size and vary in shape, graduating slightly from the front towards the back. The transparent quartz links feature needle-like inclusions of black tourmaline that almost appear to "float," as though suspended inside. The quartz has a slight shimmering quality, and the combination of the bold, black lines against the polished yellow gold background is simply stunning. The links are connected together by simple gold hinges, and their open backs allow light to pass through the center of each stone. Completing the design is a push clasp seamlessly hidden within the last link, and a safety latch is added for extra security. This statement bracelet creates a fabulous and bold look when worn, and would make a striking addition to any fashionista's collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7.5" long and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The largest cabochon link measures about 1 1/4" wide, 1" tall, and 1/2" thick. The smallest link measures slightly under 1" wide, a little more than 3/4" tall, and is 5/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. Each tourmalinated quartz cabochon is intact and securely set. The push clasp and safety latch are secure and in good working order.
