Retro Platinum 1.69ct Pear Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
An incredible diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! This stunning platinum piece adorns an impressive 1.69ct Pear shaped Brilliant Cut diamond at the center of a classic setting. The exquisite prong set stone exhibits J color and VVS1 clarity, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. Two graduated baguette diamonds weighing 0.40ctw combined frame the center stone, with wonderful facets that reflect the light beautifully. The raised prong setting features a stacked airline cutout visible from the sides, and a smoothly polished band graduates towards the back where a "10% IRID PLAT" is stamped inside of the shank. Accompanying the ring is a diamond grading report issued by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) on November 18, 2019 (Report No. 110210979750), giving a full evaluation of the center diamond. When worn, the ring is positively radiant, delivering a spectacular sparkle and the piece would make an incredible engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, however it could be resized. The diamond centerpiece measures about 3/4" wide, a little less than 1/2" tall, and rests a little more than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
