Retro Platinum 3-Stone Diamond Ring 3.23ctw
An incredible 3-stone diamond ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in platinum and features three substantial old European Cut diamonds set across the front surface. The center stone is slightly larger than the outer two, weighing approximately 1.55ct and exhibiting I/J color and VS2 clarity. The other two stones individually weigh approximately 0.85ct and 0.83ct, with the slightly larger diamond exhibiting H/I color and VS1 clarity and the smaller exhibiting I/J color and VS2 clarity, respectively. In total, the trio of prong set diamonds have a collective carat weight of 3.23ctw, displaying a spectacular sparkling array with every turn in their open back setting. Subtly carved shoulders flank the stones, and a smooth band tapers slightly towards the back where a "PLAT" purity mark is stamped inside of the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in June 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $18,000.00. This classic yet stylish design merges seamlessly into modern day fashion, and would make a stunning engagement ring or could mark a special occasion!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 5.5, however it could be re-sized if desired. The 3-stone centerpiece measures a little more than 5/8" wide, and slightly more than 1/4" tall and rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all three diamonds are intact and securely set.
