Retro Platinum & Diamond Engagement Ring 1.75ct
This diamond engagement ring from the Retro era (ca1940) is simply stunning! Made of platinum, the ring holds a beautiful 1.75ct old European Cut diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set and has L color and SI1 clarity. Framing the center stone are two tapered baguette diamonds, which rest at either shoulder in a "V" shaped bar setting. The baguettes have an approximate combined carat weight of .40ct with H-I range color and VS range clarity. The platinum band is smooth on all sides, and two chevron cutouts at the top complete the lovely design. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified gemologist in November 2014 and has a stated retail replacement value of $14,500.00. It looks positively gorgeous when worn and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring currently has a finger size 7, but could easily be re-sized if desired. When worn, the ring rests slightly more than 1/4" above the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all three of the diamonds are intact.
