Retro Platinum Pear Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 5.00ctw center
An astounding diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in platinum, this stunning piece features a substantial Pear Cut diamond which glitters within a 5-pronged setting atop a raised gallery. The sparkling stone weighs approximately 5.00ctw and exhibits L/M color and I1 clarity. Tapered Baguette Cut diamonds complement the center stone, set at either shoulder, weighing approximately 0.15ctw in total weight. An attractive airline completes the design as the smooth band tapers slightly underneath. The inside of the ring is stamped with a faded "10 PLAT". The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Gemologist in May of 2021 and has a stated retail replacement value of $32,500.00. This breathtaking piece would make for an absolutely stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 5.25 (accounting for the sizing beads) but could easily be resized. The diamond centerpiece measures slightly more than 3/8" long and slightly more than 3/8" wide. When worn, the ring rests 3/8" above the finger.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The diamonds are all intact and securely set.
