RIKER BROS. Art Nouveau 14kt Etched Floral Bangle Bracelet

SKU: 45475

Not many people are aware that Newark, New Jersey was a major hub for the manufacture of jewelry from the late 1800's until the 1950's. One of the leading companies, the Riker Brothers, has an early history that dates back to 1846. Their pieces are quite sought after and still remain highly collectible today.

This gorgeous bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era is a fantastic example of the Riker Brothers' talent! The slip-on style bangle is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and features a lovely etched pattern on the surface. The design comes alive with swirls of scrolled detail and a feminine floral motif. The inside of the bangle is marked "14K" and bears the Riker Brothers' signature hallmark (the letter "R" with a sword through it). A gorgeous everyday piece, it would look great worn alone or grouped with other similar bracelets for a layered look. It would make a fabulous addition to any Riker collection!

Measurements: The interior opening of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet band measures approximately 3/8" wide and 3/16" thick. The total weight of the piece is 18.4 grams.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or etched design.
