Victorian 12kt Diamond + Sapphire Horseshoe Bangle Bracelet
A wonderful horseshoe bracelet from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! This gorgeous bangle is crafted in 12kt yellow gold with rose gold accents, and features a beautiful gemstone horseshoe at its center. Lining the surface of the open horseshoe are four sapphires and three old Mine Cut diamonds, which form a stylish alternating pattern. The diamonds catch the light beautifully with every turn and pair perfectly with the rich blue faceted sapphires. Six additional stones create the same pattern on either shoulder, each resting in a gorgeous rose gold octagonal box setting, providing a subtle yet lovely two-tone appeal. Additional rose gold accents decorate the horseshoe, and the side stones rest on a fabulous ribbed surface, adding wonderful texture to the design. The band is comprised of stacked open wirework, tapering gradually as it nears the back, where it fastens with a push clasp on the side and a safety chain for additional security. This stunning equestrian inspired piece would make a stylish addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 1 7/8" tall, and the piece would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The horseshoe measures about 3/4" tall and 5/8" wide. The graduated bracelet measures about 3/4" wide at the front, and 1/8" wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting. All of the sapphires and diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition. There is a very minor dent along the edge of the horseshoe, it is not noticeable when worn.
