A lovely pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is crafted in 14k rosy yellow gold, and displays a simple yet elegant design. Attached at the base of a gold shepherds' hooks and hook backs wire is a series of eight bead set Rose Cut diamonds for the surmount. Dangling freely below the surmount is circular link, which holds nine Rose Cut diamonds forming two straight lines in the center. The earrings frame the face beautifully and hang with lovely movement. A simply stunning pair of Victorian earrings, they would be suitable for everyday wear or special occasions, and would make an exceptional addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 1/2" long, including the wire at the top, and measure about 1/2" wide and are a little less than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring wires and clasps are secure and in good condition.
