Victorian 14k & Sterling Diamond Crescent Moon Necklace .85ctw

SKU: 45745

A beautiful diamond crescent necklace from the Victorian era (ca1880)! The piece is made of 14k rosy yellow gold that is topped in sterling silver, giving it a lovely mixed metals design. Originally worn as a pin, the crescent has since been converted into a pendant that now hangs from a fine 14k white gold chain. A row of sparkling diamonds lines the face of the crescent, giving the piece a radiant sparkle! The graduating stones include .85ctw of rose cut diamonds. Open prong settings allow the light to fully engulf the antique diamonds. The contemporary white gold chain is attached to the top of the crescent, fastening with a lobster clasp in the back marked "14kt INDONESIA". This celestial piece is simply stunning in person, and would look wonderful worn day or night thanks to its delicate size. It would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures 16" long. The crescent pendant has a 1/2" diameter.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling-topped gold setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact. The chain and spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition.
