Victorian 14kt Closed Back Rose Cut Diamond Ring 0.55ctw
A gorgeous ring from Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, this unique piece features a beautiful 0.55ctw old Rose Cut diamond softly sparkling within a foil-backed setting. The ring's band has a polished surface and bypass style, gently cradling the diamond's lifted collet setting. The mounting is stamped with a Netherlands' maple leaf hallmark which dates the piece to circa 1865-1905, along with a second hallmark which is illegible. The ring is accompanied by its original box, purchased at Backers Juwelier, a family jewelry business established in 1918 in the Netherlands. This elegant design is simply beautiful and the piece would make a wonderful addition to any Rose Cut collection or would look stunning as a unique turn of the century diamond engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5 but could be resized. The diamond centerpiece measures a little less than 3/8 wide.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamond is intact and securely set and the closed back setting is in fine antique condition.
