Victorian 14kt Dangling Gold Sphere Earrings
Absolutely gorgeous gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each ornate earring features a dramatic 3-dimensional design. The earrings hang from oval-shaped surmounts, which are attached to a simple gold wire. Two twisted gold wire arms, decorated with a smooth ball at the base, flank the surmount, attached in a manner that allows them to swing with wonderful movement. A rectangular link hangs in the center, holding a large gold orb at the bottom. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear, they have a strong Victorian look that seamlessly fits into modern-day fashion!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" including the earring wire. They measure measures about 1/2" at the widest point. The large sphere has a diameter of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, hinges, dangling links, or to the earring wires, which are secure and intact. There a few indents on the back of one of the gold orbs, however, due to their location, they are not visible when worn.
