Victorian 14kt Diamond Claw Conversion Earrings
A beautiful pair of conversion claw earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Both, which were originally antique stick pins, have since been converted to fantastic earrings, which differ very slightly in appearance but compliment each other beautifully. Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the 3-dimensional design of each depicts a single sparkling old Mine Cut diamond grasped within an ornate claw. Fine engraved detail covers the surface of both gold claws, providing a scaly texture and the earrings hang from simple gold wires. These fun and creative conversion earrings look fabulous on and would make a unique addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang a little less than 1 1/8" long, and each measure 1/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold settings or wires or to the diamonds, which are both securely set and free of chips or scratches.
