Victorian 14kt Diamond Intertwined Double Snake Ring
The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.
A marvelous double snake ring from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the design features two slithering snakes, whose bodies are artfully intertwined, their heads meeting at the center. Their bodies become one and form the band of the ring, further adding to the visual beauty of the design, and engraved detail on the surface provides a scale-like texture. Both snakes are adorned with sparkling diamonds set in each eye and additional carved detail accents each snake's head. Stamped along the inside of the shank are two hallmarks. This fabulous ring is perfect for any snake lover and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6 but could be re-sized slightly if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
